The Networks Cancel A Number Of Shows

The fall television season will look a lot different come September as a number of shows received their pink slips.

Some of the cancelled shows were actual fan favorites, while others never really found their audience. Some shows had been on for a couple of seasons while others were shown the door during their first year on the air.

Following are some of the cancelled shows.

FOX

Backstrom, starring Rainn Wilson, only lasted one season.

The Following, starring Kevin Bacon, lasted three seasons.

The Mindy Project starring Mindy Kaling.

Constantine suffered from poor ratings.

Marry Me only made it for one season.

About A Boy from Jason Katims, who created Friday Night Lights and Parenthood.

State Of Affairs, starring Katherine Heigl.

One Big Happy, a comedy from Elle DeGeneres.

ABC

Forever, starring Ioan Gruffudd.

The Taste, a cooking competition show that was on for three seasons.

Resurrection, starring Omar Epps, lasted two seasons.

Revenge, starring Emily VanCamp and Madeleine Stowe. The show lasted four seasons.

Battle Creek, starring Josh Duhamel and Dean Winters.

The McCarthys, by creator Brian Gallivan, never got off the ground.

The Messengers, only lasted three episodes.
Hart of Dixie, starring Rachel Bilson.
