Mayor Tom Bradley 100th Anniversary Celebration


Stevie Wonder has been added as a special guest at the Mayor Tom Bradley 100th Anniversary Celebration “Remembering the Vision,” set to take place at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, July 15, at the Taglyan Complex on 1201 N Vine Street, Los Angeles, CA 90038.

The event is presented by the Collaborative Expansions in order to celebrate the life and legacy of Tom Bradley, considered one of the greatest mayors in the history of Los Angeles.

Grammy-winning music legend Dionne Warwick will give a special performance at the event, along with a host of celebrity guest speakers and performers. Co-Hosts for the evening will be Kathleen Bradleythe first African American model on The Price is Right and Mone’ Swannthe first African American to be signed to a record deal by the legendary Dick Clark. 

The celebration is being held to highlight the achievements of the late Mayor Tom Bradley. Attendees include: Academy Award winner Lou Gossett Jr, Loretta Devine, The Honorable Diane Watson, Margaret Bush Ware, Jerry Katell; Katell Properties, Carla Sanger; LA's Best, John Kobara; California Community Foundation, Ron Washington; President of The Metro, Earl “Skip” Cooper, Jayne Kennedy-Overton and Carrie Bernans. 

This is the 100th anniversary of the birth of Tom Bradley. The event will highlight the life and legacy of Bradley.  The event will pay tribute to his influential achievements that changed the trajectory of the city of Los Angeles socially and economically. 

The creator and organizer of the Mayor Tom Bradley 100th Anniversary is Mone` Swann. Swann and Lauren Williams are co-chairs of this historic event. A portion of the proceeds will support a hands-on technology program for those seeking training and employment in the world of technology, as well as, the Tom and Ethel Bradley Foundation to further Mayor Bradley's vision of inclusion and civility.

To memorialize this 100th Anniversary milestone, Collaborative Expansion is developing a Commemorative Book entitled, “Remembering the Vision.”
