LP To Perform Free Show At The Grove In LA

July 10, 2014 - (Burbank, CA.) - LP has announced that she will perform a free show on Wednesday, July 16th at The Grove in Los Angeles, as part of the retailer's 2014 Summer Stage Series, sponsored by Citi. The free live music performance will take place in The Park at The Grove (189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90036) beginning at 7:30 p.m. (Media check-in starts at 6:45.) In addition, LP's episode of Guitar Center Sessions, presented by JBL, will air on Sunday, July 20th, at 8 p.m. exclusively on DIRECTV's Audience (channel 239).

Named on Esquire's rising stars roster and praised by everyone from Rolling Stone to Billboard, USA Today to Vogue, LP is a unique young artist whose effervescent performances are fueled by a rocking ukulele complemented by a complex and powerful voice. Her distinctive talents as a writer and performer are brought to the fore on her debut album Forever For Now, produced by Grammy winner and Warner Bros. Records chairman Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Dave Matthews Band). Songs like "Heavenly Light," "Tokyo Sunrise," and "Into the Wild" (also heard in the recent Citi commercial) are brightly hopeful, showing the work of an artist always expanding and digging deeper. Critics and fans continue to pledge their allegiance:

"Her vocal styling is seriously not of this earth. Throw in her brutally honest lyrics and the fact that she's BS free, the LA-based artist is quite easily one of the most refreshing acts working in music today." - HuffingtonPost.Com

"If there is one album you should listen to this year, LP's 'Forever For Now,' is it." - Guitar World

"The singer/songwriters debut album is full of driving ambient arrangements. But it's most striking element is her voice...dusky and fluttery." - USA Today

LP recently wrapped tour dates with Phillip Phillips and O.A.R. in support of her Forever For Now, which was released on June 3rd. View the album trailer here.
