Plans Under Way for McClurkin to Lend His Voice to New Inspirational Animated Series

Los Angeles, CA (April 2012) – Ministry and music never stops for award-winning gospel singer
Donnie McClurkin. After years of traveling the globe, keeping pace with his schedule still proves to be a challenge. McClurkin kicks off the month of April at the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, OH. He’s set to perform on April 10 at the Rock My Soul event honoring gospel great and long-time friend Kirk Franklin.
Fans will soon be able to experience a new journey with McClurkin when he makes his voice-over debut as Coach Jacobi Mars in inspirational animated series, Starry Cross Academy, currently in the pre-production stage. Also on board to lend their voice to the series is actress, Jasmine Guy. While in Atlanta for Starry Cross recording, McClurkin will join the star-studded line-up for the 43rd Annual GMA Dove Awards at the Fox Theater on Thursday, April 19. The show will be taped for television and aired nationally on GMC TV on Tuesday, April 24 at 8pm and 10pm/EDT.
The 11th Annual I Hear Music in the Air Conference (May 18-20) will honor McClurkin at their black tie Legend’s Ball set to commence the three day event on May 20 and will feature today’s biggest names in gospel music..
