All roads lead to Nashville, TN this
week as singers, songwriters, producers and labels prepare for Gospel Music
Industry’s Biggest Night. Gospel singer, Donnie McClurkin, is in
full swing this week making appearances at major events during Stellar Awards
Week.
On Thurs.,
Jan. 16, he starts out by hosting a Music Special for TBN Gospel Music Night
before a live audience at Trinity City, 1 Music Village in Hendersonville, TN.
Special Guests include: Israel Houghton, Erica Campbell, Marvin Sapp, Micah Stampley, William McDowell, Tasha Cobbs, Anita Wilson Joshua Rogers, J.J. Hairston, Andrea Helms to name a few. Doors
open at 6 p.m. and taping begins promptly at 7 p.m.
On
Fri., Jan. 17, McClurkin puts on his hosting hat again as he shares the
stage with founder and co-host; Catherine Brewton,
BMI Vice President, Writer/Publisher Relations for the BMI
Trailblazers Luncheon at Rocketown in the heart of Nashville at
12 p.m. This year’s honorees are gospel legends Daryl Coley and Richard
Smallwood (RCA Inspirations). The event that is always the hardest invite
to land promises to deliver another line-up of
gospel’s cream-of-the-crop performances. Winding down the week appearing
at main attraction event, the 29th Annual Stellar Awards at the
Nashville Municipal Auditorium. McClurkin makes an appearance as a
presenter on Sat., Jan. 18, airing
live at 7 p.m. Eastern/ 4 p.m. Pacific Time on UP TV. This year’s host will
be Kirk Franklin along with several of gospel music’s hottest artists.
On Fri., Jan. 31, McClurkin wraps up
the month at Madison Square Garden performing at the 15th
Annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration alongside Patti Labelle, Tamela Mann, Mary, Mary, Natalie Grant and the
NFL Players Choir and more.
