Photojournalist Haywood Galbreath is an award-winning photographer who has shot presidents, celebrities, world leaders and sports figures around the world. Now add published author to his resume.

Through the Lens: History and Moments Captured is a visual odyssey detailing his long and illustrious career behind the camera, which has taken him from Kentucky to Los Angeles and on global treks. He is honored to share these spectacular photos with the public, and through his strong visual voice and keen eye for detail, these intimate photos will give everyone an insight into his photographic brilliance.

Galbreath is also an educator who is at the helm of the Minority Photojournalism Institute (MPJI). The institute teaches inner-city youth the art of photography and photojournalism.

Part of the proceeds from Through the Lens: History and Moments Captured will go to programs designed to help keep kids off the streets, out of trouble and feeling hopeless about their future.

The programs will open their eyes to a whole new world of possibilities with having a career in photography and photojournalism as well as giving them a "can do" spirit and mindset.
