DJ Spase's 'Mada Faka" Set To Drop December 13

When two brothers from Macedonia, a beautiful yet impoverished Eastern European country, indulge in a lavish weekend in Las Vegas, the only words they could utter were “Mada Faka.” While that’s the story behind the video DJ Spase made for his debut single, it’s a true-life tale come true for the Los Angeles-based EDM artist. The first of three songs to drop from the debut EP of the same name, “Mada Faka” drops Friday on all digital retail platforms in conjunction with the 12 p.m. (PT) premiere of the video.

The single “Mada Faka” is a hyperkinetic, ecstatic rush spiked with throbbing electronic beats and exotic melodies. Sensual and aggressive, Spase deftly concocted a pulsating thrill ride designed to ignite dance floors.

“I make house music that's sexy yet high energy. I like provocative stuff, like sexy French house music. This is a little more aggressive, a little different. When I think of dance music, I like it to be sensual and at the same time aggressive. A deep bassline pulsates throughout ‘Mada Faka’ with a Latino percussion seamlessly woven in,” said Spase.

In the accompanying video, the brothers dive deeply into the Vegas playground, traveling by private jet, driving the finest cars, staying in an opulent penthouse suite, dining at five-star restaurants and partying VIP style at the Neon City’s hottest nightclubs surrounded by beautiful people.

DJ Spase explains, “Two brothers have the weekend of their lives in Vegas. Everything is first class. It’s about someone who is king or queen for a day or eternity. Living the best life, driving the best automobiles, staying in high roller penthouses, flying on private jets, partying in the hottest clubs surrounded by the hottest people. ‘Mada Faka’ will either get people inspired or make them jealous. One thing is for sure: nobody will be left indifferent.”

The provocation will continue with two additional single releases on January 17 and February 14 with the full “Mada Faka” EP becoming available on Valentine’s Day.

Spase was inspired to pursue a career as an EDM artist by listening to Frankie Knuckles and David Guetta. He polished his English as a child by watching MTV and fantasized about going after his American dream. Athletically gifted, he captained the Macedonian national cycling team at age fourteen. He later moved to New York City where he combined his passions for music and cycling by leading innovative, multimedia spin classes that incorporated live video DJ sets, musicians, vocalists and dancers into intense workouts that garnered him national acclaim. Following a move to Los Angeles, his peloton of spinners regularly included Hollywood A-listers like Katie Holmes, Hilary Swank, David Duchovny, Sofia Vergara, and Reese Witherspoon. The exposure led to opportunities to spin music at private parties and red carpet events. As he honed his live performance chops by playing gigs promoted by electronic dance music powerhouses Insomniac and Golden Voice, Spase devoted himself to learning how to craft his own music. With the arrival of “Mada Faka,” he says, “I am living the dream daily!”
