Golden Globes Handed Out - No Black Winners

The 77th annual Golden Globe Awards were handed out Sunday night at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.  The show was hosted by Ricky Gervais.

The show was nearly a blackout. Ok, to be fair, Ramy Youssef, who is Egyptian, did win for Best Performance By An Actor In A Television Series - Musical or Comedy for Ramy.  That being said, not ONE winner was African American!! Entertainment veterans Eddie Murphy had a nomination for the film Dolemite Is My Name, while Billy Porter was nominated in the Best Performance By An Actor in a Television Series for his role on FX's Pose.  Cynthia Erivo was also nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama for starring in Harriet and was part of the writing team for the song Stand Up from the film. Beyonce was part of the writing team for the song Spirit from The Lion King.  Alas, it was not to be!  Below is a complete list of winners.
