'This Is The End' Returns To Theaters

CULVER CITY, Calif., September 3, 2013 – It was not the end after all.

James Franco, Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, and Craig Robinson return to the big screen with all of their outrageous mayhem as Sony Pictures re-releases this summer’s comedy hit This Is The End in approximately 2000 theaters beginning this Friday, September 6.  This Is The End has taken in $96.8 million to date at the domestic box office.

Commenting on the announcement, Rory Bruer, president of Worldwide Distribution for Sony Pictures, said, “This Is The End really struck a chord with comedy moviegoers this summer.  For everyone who didn’t get a chance to see it – or saw it and loved it and wants to see it again on the big screen – we are thrilled to have it back in theaters.”

This Is The End follows six friends trapped in a house after a series of strange and catastrophic events devastate Los Angeles. As the world unravels outside, dwindling supplies and cabin fever threaten to tear apart the friendships inside. Eventually, they are forced to leave the house, facing their fate and the true meaning of friendship and redemption.  The film is directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg from a screen story and screenplay by Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg and stars James Franco, Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, with Michael Cera and Emma Watson.  The film is produced by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver.
